Hi!

I have been trying to get Gnome-o-phone running on the N810 (as a way to learn more about RTP) but compilation is failing due to missing libgsm library. Is there a port for the libgsm library in Maemo? I scoured the internet but couldnt find one.

Many Thanks!

OK I compiled the whole lot by simply importing the libgsm src into the gnome-o-phone project. Its running but now gnome-o-phone is unable to open the microphone and speaker on the N810...probably have to go play with gstreamer now which I have never done till now (what a way to spend Friday night!). Any tips highly appreciated!

You may want to look at the GSM codec implementation in gst-plugins-bad instead (see also bug 4252). That said, gnome-o-phone looks like it hasn't been developed since 2000 so it will probably be a lot of work to make it work with gstreamer :-(
