So it would be technically worthless due to the stress of the computing tasks?
What if the devices were left plugged into the charger while running BOINC?

I realise the current Nokia tablets don't have much computing power compared to a desktop PC, but how easy would it be for someone to do a BOINC client for Maemo?
It's already available on Linux (as well as Windows and Mac) so presumably that would make it easier to do a Maemo version?

Obviously the really heavy processing power of a desktop or laptop would totally outclass the current tablets, but the new Maemo devices will apparently have greatly improved hardware and if Nokia does eventually start using Maemo on their phones then it's possible that Maemo devices would one day outnumber desktop computers (or at least come close).
If there are eventually lots and lots of Maemo devices out there, being able to run BOINC on them might greatly increase the amount of computing time available to BOINC projects. That's why I'm interested in seeing if BOINC can be brought to Maemo.
