Well, since I created it I knew where it was. Going to wiki.maemo.org and searching from there or maybe googling should work, too.

Tried them both... I do see some changes were made lately though.

I beleive it DOES do video MSN, and video Gizmo. Using amsn which was ported to the tablet, you can do video to other msn users.

I would wait, mostly because the n810 is two years old(er) tech, and the new gen of phones/devices is coming out this summer (iPhone 2, Pre, RX-51, G1 v2), which will probably drive the price way down.

The maemo.org document that Kate Alhola linked to from Forum Nokia is gone...

It was a both a little frustrating and embarassing... all at the same time.

Can you provide us all with the method you used to find the article you linked to?

maemo.org search results
http://wiki.maemo.org/USB_to_ethernet_networking

or this one?

http://wiki.maemo.org/USB_networking

go to http://wiki.maemo.org/ then "More user topics"

I can verify that the USB to Ethernet Networking does, indeed, work. I've used it myself. I don't know of any such solutions for any other handheld devices on the market.

A guy in Canada actually sells the equipment necessary.

I also seriously doubt the price of the N810 will come down much more than it already has. Maybe another 20 bucks, I dunno.

And there really are no options in Canada at the moment, except expansys.ca, and they are over $300 for the N810. buy.com doesn't ship to Canada, and their Canadian branch doesn't carry the N810.

A bit of a bummer, I know. I guess ebay is your best bet.

$300? Is that BC money? Lived there in Kits and loved it. Moved to West Van and hated it. I think the N810 is selling for $200 USD. Buy from the lowest price on the net.

I think the bluetooth and USB capacity make this device very reliable. I don't know if it mean what I want to say, but instead of my old ipaq, there is wifi, bluetooth USB OTG.
I also don't want to pay 500$ for a N97 or other products with about the same ability.

I see :"nokia n97 for North America june 2nd"
I will maybe wait until it's release to get a better price for a N810, but now Canadian dollar is 1,1443 for 1USD. This is good because it was about 1.25$ one week and a half ago. I have to deal with that and the price of the device.

Now I understand the N810 is really a better chose than a ipod touch or any other actual pocket computer.

I can also see that many person on this forum are trying to help me and I'm only here since 3 days!!! So, there's a cool community around this internet tablet. IT's cool to see that because, if nofia don't support it anymore, community will.

Sorry for my english, I didn't read twice to correct myself.

EDIT: I found that while I was loking for a solution to ethernet

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=17704

I also found some answers, but it will be very long and hard for me to read that
