Yup, that's all the Hitch does...just eliminates a computer as a go-between for two USB devices...

My goodness, it would be a dream come true if the USB port in the N800 would support usb Thumb Drives and even be able to recharge the battery. As a student I just can imagine having my N800 all day at school and while typing up at the desktop in the computer lab I can connect it there and recharge it while working. Even beeing able to transfer my work to and from the PC.

Does anybody know whether it can be hacked or modded to do that? Or maybe even a new application that will allow that?

P.S. I just ordered my N800 and this is my first time purchasing an Internet Tablet. This product will replace an old IBM ThinkPad laptop I used for just email, IM, and web surfing.

It is less hassle to simply pick up a charger cable that has a USB port on one end and nokia barrel connector power plug on the other. That way your USB port is still free to use...

Will this really work for N800? Where can get something like that?

Sure, but as USB ports don't HAVE to support more than 500ma, your IT would charge somewhat more slowly than from the wall adapter, which is rated at ~800ma, I believe. Still, it might be convenient in a pinch, especially when traveling.
