Has anyone managed to install this? I seen it on maemo.org this morning, but it wont install from the green button. I dont think anyone has, for the simple reason that a new pim suite getting released for the tablets with no comment around here is like Angelina Jolie walking through a room naked and no one batting an eye. LOL

I think the author is still doing debugging at the time of speaking.... you can either help and contact the author, or dl the .deb if you can find a copy and do this if you are courageous and foolish,

    xterm
    gainroot
    dpkg -i xyz.deb ; apt-get -f install

provide the author has already uploaded all his dependence to a repository and you got a hold of it. BTW, the author is from New South Wales, if you look at the time difference....

Regarding Angelina Jolie, she better wears some clothes now, as she is now pregnant or postpartum?

It would seem that DNS isn't quite aware of his domain name... If I force software.kawseq.com to go to the IP of www.kawseq.com (208.77.100.199), using my hosts file, I can get to his repository. I've mirrored the relevant page of his repository at http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/46230/seqretary/index.htm . I'll take it down if he asks me to, or if DNS updates.

[edit]I like it! It's a nice calendar and seems to have plenty of features. Zooming in and out works exactly as I would expect. If only it would synchronize with Google calendar...

Does it use evolution-data-server or its own backend?

Because if it's the former, then we could have SyncML via syncevolution.

So, is it possible to manually add his repository to the catalog, and if so what would it be?

Edit: Just installed it via the .deb and I must say its looking good. Works perfectly thus far, the only thing I think would look better aesthetically would be on the side where the times are listed remove the zeros from ahead of the single digit hours and to make the minute digits the same size as the hour.

Nice! Some of his goals are the same as mine... maybe I won't need to pursue that long-term PIM project after all...

Thanks TrueJournals, it seems that EveryDNS changed the host that retrieves updates so none of the secondary server had up to date data.

I am open to suggestions on appearance. I have based the current appearance on MS Outlook (unfortunately I have no real choice but to use that in my day job), and KOrganizer. One thing I do not want to do though is load this up with a lot of different options since that would go against the fast load time and low battery usage goals, so any change to things like the size of the minute markers would need to be based on popular opinion - that is, one winner rather than lots of choices.

Other features like import/export and synchronisation are to be done with separate executables. My view on this is that in a handheld, the program that you use to enter data into the calendar should do that data entry and display and nothing else. Let another executable do other tasks. There is a package out there that does nothing synchronisation between many calendar formats (I forget its name but have its details at home), and my plan at this stage is to make a plugin for that.

Great work trollo, might you have any early screenshots of what your addressbook/contact manager may look like?
