I'm a teenager, I'm fine on my N95 8GB (actually I LOVE it!). But if I was a (regular in terms of cell phone choices) teenager I would get a BlackBerry Curve or some other Blacbkberry for BBM.
Teenagers usually want multimedia stuff on it too. So E-Series is maybe not a good choice. And relatively -in general- too expensive for the target market segment.
Nokia E71 is a very succesful phone though, partly because of its slick keyboard. There are succesors of E71 too, such as E63.
I would hardly call the E63 a successor to the E71. Lack of GPS. Lack of HSDPA, downgrade in build material. Meh. I'll stick with the E71 for now.
I hate answering this question but its really in this order (spoken as a reviewer and only in terms of the feel of the keyboard - not the OS, 3rd party software, etc.):
- Blackberry Curve
- Blackberry 8900
- any Palm Treo
- Nokia E71/E63
- Samsung QWERTYs (really, they are all the same)
- pretty much anything else (because really, they are horrible unless I've named 'em)
