Just in case it wasn't seen in the other thread.

Can this be fixed?

Also, would it be possible to get Flite and/or Festival running on Mer?

Thanks.

Which extras applications would I like to see? lol. All of them! I want to be able to move over from diablo to mer without so much as a hickup application wise.

Liblinebreak is free software and the source is available: http://vimgadgets.sourceforge.net/liblinebreak/ .
I don't think it was packaged, though.

I tried to install diablo package, as well as compile it's source on Mer, and the result is almost working, but trying to open the settings dialog results in a hang using 100% CPU.

There is fbreader in ubuntu repository, but it does not support full screen, and does not allow mapping +/- keys for next page/prev page, etc.

I second this notion.

Alas, judging from this http://maemo.org/community/maemo-use...d4eccd6bcf6bcf
it sounds like Xournal might be a bit difficult to get on mer...

No it won't. You just need someone who's willing to port it over. Since all this stuff is open source, you only need one developer who's determined enough to make it happen. That's the beauty of open source.

I was going to have a look at Mer to check out how much work needs to be done to port Xournal to it.

I would like to make Xournal compile and run fine on OS2006+, Fremantle, Mer and, of course, the Desktop.

I played a bit with OpenSolaris on my system, but today I'm going to put Linux back on it. I would like to have Xournal code back on track by August.

Cross your fingers

Aniello

Are there closed sourced libs on maemo? As i know the sound and gps driver are close, is that true? Why mer doesn't have the full control panel of maemo and a working and usable hildon?

BTW, pardon my ignorance, but where is the best place to go for a list of Extra applications? Is it here:

http://repository.maemo.org/extras/d...iablo/install/
http://repository.maemo.org/extras/d...inook/install/

Anyway, my list:
gPodder (+ Panucci)
Maemomapper (I acknowledge the GPS disclaimer mentioned before)
MPlayer (or similar)
mYTube (or similar)
Rapier
PenguPop ;-)
