My N800 should be here about Tuesday.
The past week has been one of the slowest weeks of my life (even going out with friends, this week still drags!).
One of the heavy uses of the N800 will be pidgin, using it to text folks.
I was wondering, because I'm terribly anxious, does pidgin or RTCOMM make sounds when you get a message, and pidgin or RTCOMM isn't displayed on screen?
That way, I'll know if I get a message if I have the N800 stashed away in my pocket?
ALSO.
Battery drain. Pidgin or RTCOMM, whichever I prefer, will probably be the only program that constantly runs, when the wifi is on. Will this terribly affect my battery life? Say you get about 7 hours of on-time without any apps running, and then the usual tablet usage.
What happens to the battery life when Pidgin or RTCOMM are left on?
ALSO.
Facebook plugin. I know pidgin on PC has it, but I dunno if RTCOMM or n800 pidgin has it.
Thanks for taking your time to read this pitiful ecuse of a board.
