Yes it is around March; from Navicore press release:
"Maps of North America will become available in Q1 2007. European and North American map data is supplied by TeleAtlas with highly accurate street maps and rich digital map content, including points of-interest to enable users precisely and easily find the places, people, products and services they seek. The map data meets the stringent quality data requirements of the International Standards Organization (ISO) from National Quality Assurance, and was recently re-issued the 9001:2000 standard certification for ISO quality assurance standards in North America.
Navicore Personal 2007 navigation software will be available for the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet as a standalone Navigation Kit that includes the software along with a GPS receiver module and car holder. The Navigation Kit for Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is estimated to be available in March 2007 at selected outlets and Nokia online through www.nokia.com."

I wrote Navicore and inquired about when the US navigation would be offered. Here is their reply:
"We press-launched Navicore Personal North America (the US & Canada) at CES two weeks ago, planned availability for N800 is during Q1, around week 8, when it will be available at Navicore web shop. Due to its large size (ca. 1,7 GB) it will not be offered as download, but on a DVD."
Sounds like middle of February is all goes as planned...

From the FAQ at http://www.europe.nokia.com/accessor...NavigationKit:
"What about maps of North America, Africa and Asia?
North American maps can be purchased separately from Navicore web site. Navicore Personal does not currently provide maps for Africa and Asia."
It sounds like the kit will be sold with the Europe maps, but the North American maps can be purchased separately. Or that's just because the FAQ is for the Europe model and Nokia is just waiting for Navicore before it puts up a similar page for US customers.
I e-mail both companies for more information (such as map package pricing).

As for Africa and Asia, hardly any nav systems provide maps. Not even for Australia (where there's apparently some legalistic problems for TeleAtlas and the like to get maps).
It would bring a lot of value to mine....
