Is there any site where I can set up my nokia for free incoming and outgoing calls? I already have freedigits but every 5 minutes the account stops working and i have to disconnect and turn it back on so i have trouble recieving incoming calls. If i could fix this than that would also be good, i'm using the default internet call app for the n810, and i was wondering how i could fix this.
thanks

Skype and Gizmo are two choices for free calls made to and from computers. Whenever a landline is envolved there is a small charge.

What you need is the google voice/gizmo combo. GV is invitation only right now, but anyone in the US can request an invitation. I just got my invite last night. I think it takes a couple of months...

The way it works is GV calls your gizmo phone (for free) and then GV places the outgoing call and bridges the two. Calls in the US are free.

In addition to gizmo, you'll want to install dialcentral to place the calls from your tablet (but that's not a requirement, you can place calls from the web).

On th GV website, go to settings/phone and add your gizmo phone number (and select gizmo as the phone type). Then just use that as your call back number in dialcentral.

Voipbuster works flawlessly with 'internet call' on my N810. And it is free (i.e. no minute rate) as well to both VB subscribers and landlines in most western countries as well. To get these freecalls you have to pay $12 and you get 120 days for calling to landline numbers at no extra cost. Moreover you can spend the $12 balance for other numbers (non-US mobile, other countries) or when the 120 days are expired. Then such landlines cost only 1 cent a minute.
www.voipbuster.com
Another one similar is voipcheap.com .
Sometimes (but that is rare) there are some drops in ithe line but that is a common voip issue.

Here is a link that might help you out, to the thread that talks about it if you read through it, and if you were still just wanting to use your gizmo, the very first post gives you a link to a detailed step-by-step blog on all the popular ( Gizmo, Google voice, and Dial central ) VoIP programs.
