Yes OS 2008 Diablo *43-7 is the latest.
As far as tethering from a Blackberry goes. You are going to need to follow a guide to tether to a laptop from your specific model and carrier. See if you can find one for Linux if possible. and then a guide for cellphone tethering over bluetooth for N810 and try to mesh the two together.
iPhone tethering requires jailbreaking it.
What you should do in the meantime is figure out how to tether to a desktop (that has bluetooth) or a laptop from one of these phones. And at the same time get PC Connect tethering working between a laptop and the N810.
KMplayer, Canola2, mediabox... check the Downloads section.
You should clone your install to a SD card and on that SD install download whatever catches your fancy in the Extras Repo, Downloads and repos listed on Gronmayer (package incompatiblity may cause an install to be unstable to say the least; so this is just a precaution)
Have you tried deleting the cached files from xterm?
See my post on alternative OSes. To cut it short Android IMHO isn't ready for daily use on the device yet.

I think he meant to figure out how tethering works between your phone and a laptop as a guide to understanding how it will work on your N810.

I forgot to ask, I have no idea on how to use terminal... how would i delete the files using xterm?
I have read a lot of interesting threads containing useful information regarding my N810.
I do have some questions though:
My n810 came out of the box with Maemo OS 2008 Version 5.2008.43-7
Is this the latest version?
Ive also had issues pairing my N810 with my blackberry, but I know (from this forum) that it has to do with something regarding Rim's servers.
I also tried pairing my N810 with my brother's iphone with no success... Maybe , because its "redundant" he says.
I also tried to tether the internet connection from a Motorola K1 (cdma) with no luck... Is there a guide I could follow to configure my n810 with a cellphone to tether its connection?
I downloaded mYTube and Mplayer
Mplayer shows some files stored on the MMC1 cache but I cannot delete them... They are not accesible from the file manager, nor my computer (when connecting via USB). Is there a way to delete that cache?
What do you guys advice me to do with my device? Ive heard that you can install android on it... do you recommend doing so?
Are there any "must have" apps?
Enough questions... if you guys have read this far, thanks!
Id also like to recommend every single member to use Invisible shields on their tablet... its the first accessory I bought for it and could not be happier... I use the stuff for every gadget I have and its amazing (you can find it on www.zagg.com)
I also bought my N810 from amazon (paid 200 bucks with free shipping) I guess I did get a good deal
Again, thanks!
