Maybe I need a reality check. I have a perfectly fine N800 that I enjoy. There is a local selling an N810 for $150. Should jump on it or keep waiting?

Used in good condition. There are some scuffs on the bottom right corner of metal chassis.

I just bought a N810 from an itT member for $150. IMHO it was a great deal and a very smooth transaction. (for me at least>> http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=305792&postcount=4 )
I have had an N800 since day one and am very happy with it. However, I use it in a work vehicle paired to a BT GPS receiver and it was a PITA removing it and packing another charger every time I wanted to use it for a week-end trip...
Bottom line. I couldn't be happier.
GPS acquisition is a non-issue as times to acquire are not much different than with the stand alone GPS, 16 GB micro in a mini adapter MMC can now be had for $50, and the N810 is smaller and easier to carry...
Looking at them side by side and the N810 makes the N800 look like an early 1960's transistor radio.
