N810 app working fine in the morning, came back from lunch and tried to fire up claws and initially got an error; something about not being able to create a temp file. Now it just quits running when I try and start it. Midori error is: unable to open database file. GPE contacts errror is: malformed schema unable to open database to store temporary tables.

This looks like some kind of corruption with my temporary space?

    any help is appreciated.

Are you booting off a memory card? I think it might be corrupting.

It's weird. I fired up another app, can't remember which now, that gave a much more accurate error message ; " out of space" basically. So I deleted maps file that looked big and tah-dah everything works.

But I am a bit puzzled because I initially suspected space issues so I deleted a couple a hug movie files from the internal storage card and it made no difference. Is the internal storage partitioned

Did you delete the movie files on your tablet or from a computer that the internal storage was mounted to? It could be that those files weren't deleted properly.

I know this sounds obvious but if you deleted it from a computer are you sure that it was completely removed and didn't go to the trash. This happened to me once and it took me a while to figure it out.
