That guy is really spending a lot of time for this. Maybe well someday see KDE 4 as a really usable alternative. :P

Maybe with a new tablet. KDE works but on n8x0 it's just too slow.

Yes, but this guy is modifying it to be more tablet-friendly. KDE 4.2 is way faster than KDE 4.1.2 on my old computer btw.

We'll see how it works after he finishes it.

Yes, I have tried many versions of KDE on my tablet, but none of these have been useful yet.

Saw that pic on http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3879 ?

There's six programs open and load-applet shows only 2/4 of memory is used... looks good.

Bwahahaha...I'm cloning a partition to play with it on...While I wait for KDE 4.3 to settle in Debian for my desktop.

Has anyone tried it yet? Does the fact that you have a desktop icon mean that you can use multiple desktops? Too much for the N810?

Does anyone know which packages to install to get the desktop? And how much space it needs? I cloned a partition that has 240MB free, and tried installing kde-window-manager (which is kwin), but it didn't include startkde, so I installed the package that contains that file, and next thing I know, the partition is out of space.

How large of a space is this going to require?
