Hello, would you please expound on how you got it to work? I've found a few recent(6months) posts how USBcontrol has stopped working, yet no fixes posted in response.
I have both usbcontrol(no response to icon in extras, no service runs) and maemo-control-usb installed and the only thing I gained was a USB Networking option in the control panel, which doesn't help mount flash drive.
PS: USB-otg-plugin also failed, tried the zip method(but couldn't find the download under /home/user/MyDocuments ????) and lastly gained root and tried "echo host >..." to no avail.
