Hey, I just noticed something bothersome over the weekend : For some reason, the built-in SD/MMC card reader on my Fujitsu laptop can't read the 1GB RS-MMC card that's in my Nokia 770. It reads fine on the built-in reader in my desktop PC, but the laptop doesn't recognize it. When I plug it in, plug-n-play recognizes a "PCMCIA IDE/ATAPI Controller" but it doesn't recognize any actual volumes on the card. Nothing mounts. A 64MB RS-MMC card inserted into the same laptop works fine. What gives? I've never heard about a "real" computer not being able to read larger cards. What could the problem be? This is an O2Micro card reader, FWIW. I've even reformatted the 1GB card a couple different ways, but to no avail.

I had to upgrade the driver for my laptop's (Compaq V2000Z) built in card reader before it was able to read a 2GB card. Maybe you are experiencing the same sort of thing.
