Having MMS on a phone like this IS an important feature to have working at launch.

This only says something about AT&T, not about the iPhone.

iPhone does have MMS. I received MMS from iPhone users starting this summer. And I have screenshots of how my own MMS are displayed on the dark side. So yes, it works.

    Yes, on a non-jailbroken iPhone.
It's in their OS3.0 features list:
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/softwareupdate/

The 3rd party app (requires jailbreaking) was already available since last year or even before that: SwirlyMMS. I think it was one of the first few native iphone apps made available in the jailbreaking scene.

I don't use it, and neither does anyone in my circle... at least not in communications with me. Email and bluetooth exchanges, however, sure.

Well sending pics/vids via email, nothing hard about that, but not everyone uses/has email abilities on their phone.

    AOL, u say?

That's strange, there's this service called AOL Instant Messenger that a sh*t-ton of people use around the world, every day...

    Must be a coincidence.

You can give people a link, but you can't make them read it....

Understood-- but apparently the target demographic for the N900 does.
