I can't answer that. I'm surprised myself.

Oh, and I forgot about the USB thing: Are we now certain that the N800's USB port is host-able?

Not 100% certain, but very hopeful...

The N800 has hardware 3D acceleration in the form of a PowerVR MBX
(http://www.imgtec.com/PowerVR/Produc.../MBX/index.asp) integrated into the OMAP 2420 processor.
It has the hardware to support better graphics than any PDA but without a usable control system for games it is not very useful (for gaming).
Hopefully if a USB host function can be modded without being too bulky peripheral controllers may be able to make up for the N800s integrated controls (This is only based upon what I have read, I do not own a 770 or an N800 as they are unfortunately not available where I live ).

PowerVR? Wasn't that the 3D chip that powered the Sega Dreamcast? Maybe the N800 is even more powerful than the Dreamcast, once programmers can utilize the hardware acceleration...

Well, it refers to the "usb0" interface, (edit...) but that's totally irrelevant: he's referring to USB networking, which still features the N800 as a client device.

Sorry for the confusion, I'll go off to bed and stop causing trouble now.

Cheers,

Andrew
