Isn't the screen for the 770 and N800 the same size?

I had a MartinFields screenprotector for the 770 and though I have not used it on the new N800 (as the one Nokia provided seemed to be ok for now)

They are not cheap.. but (IMHO) they are very good, I have used them on my mobile phones and they are quite scratch resistance and yet show the brilliance of the screen.

Not true : all the main brands have protectors specifically made for the 770, ergo for the N800...

Please allow me to rephrase: I cannot find any of the friggin' things where I live.

Nevermind, I'll get one in Thailand. They cut them to size for you in the shop, while you wait. I got one for my P910 there, and after more than a year there's still not a scratch on it. Now that's what I call a protector!

Well, of course "where you live" has become a somewhat quaint notion for small items such as these.

In December of 2005 when I received my 770 there were also none available in France. Brando in Hong-Kong (a well-known brand and shop with a great reputation, even if their web site is a bit weird :-) had a "Xmas special" on them - 10$, shipping included. Arrived in a few days in a plain brown envelope, and that was that.

Heck, you can't even get anything *shipped* between two places in France for that kind of price ! :-)
