I don't think anything like this has ever existed for Maemo (although, I've wished it was). Of course, if you have a phone with a data plan tethered to your device (or an N900), you can just go to the Google Translate website.

english-german translator (or any language for that matter) that actually works SIMPLY....i spent 4 hours getting Stardict to work,
loaded stardict-duden-2.4.2, only to fing it is not a translator but a german dictionary. Is there a babylon or lingo for the n810?
Babylon and LingoPad work great on my 10 inch netbook, but i cannot put that into my pocket!
