The big deal here is not the overall device (it's winmo, and has no keyboard, after all). It's the 4.3" 800x480 screen ... on a PHONE. Contrary to all of the "that's too big for a phone!" commentary elsewhere.
So, I go back to my statement that I want to see a 4.3" 800x480 screen Maemo _phone_ (with a 5 row physical keyboard).

consider how thin the device is though, with a keyboard, the 4.3 won't sound so nice
Nothing special. The screen responsiveness seems inferior to the iphone. The zooming in the video is new.... but cant see the practical application of that feature. Nice screen size(nokia you threw away that advantage) other than that nothing innovative.
I would be quite happy with something similar to my old HTC Wizard but with a flush WVGA screen, slightly thinner perhaps but the keyboard was fantastic.
That is my one misgiving with the N900, the keyboard. Its going to take some getting used to having the space bar in such an odd place.
