Trying to get my n810 to play mp3 via the USB port to my Total Bithead portable amp/DAC.

I installed the maemo-control-usb app and get an icon in the upper panel. But the music only plays over the local speakers.

After searching this list I have found information where people have mentioned this setup but no definitive information was found.

Any information regarding this is appreciated.

Did you install the necessary drivers (presumably snd-usb-audio)?

If so, then it is probably a matter of telling the program which audio card to use. I am not sure the GUI programs for maemo have this feature, but it is easy to do with mplayer.
Maybe there is some way to configure gstreamer, which some maemo programs use for audio.
