It was mentioned in the extra conditions which was shown when trying to change plan/phone. It didn't mention anything about frequency of marketing or anything like that. I still hate any extra marketing, but that deal seems so sweet considering other options that I might give up on my hate for marketing in this case

Ah I can't because my current plan isn't a "marriage"-plan, it's just a plain plan without any devices.

just called tmobile the 9.99 plan is a glorified wap plan, seems like the 24.99 is the only way to go?

24.99 plan? For internet only plans it's around 39 dollars I think. For the web2go (an addition to an existing tmobile voice plan) it's $20.

I have been on the £20 O2 plan the OP mentioned for 18 months now, not too bad. I use ~200~500MB and month with my N82.

If you go wild they can't just 'slap on charges' , they have to give you a warning. If you ignore this they usually recommend you upgrade to a business plan.

It's funny how expensive the data plans are in the US. In Finland you get 512kbps 3g connection with unlimited bandwidth for just 15€/month.

So do they have a way to know you're tethering?

    You can get the T-Mob 3G unlimited data/sms for $34.99/mo. $24.99 with 400 sms I think.

I have the $19.99 total internet myself but somehow I doubt it would also include 3G.

The post that I answered was asking about pre-paid plans.
