Can Someone Please tell me when a psp emulator and a nintendo ds emulator will become availiable for the
    N900

I know for a fact that the nokia n900 has the proccessing power to be able to play nintendo ds games (Plus it has the touchscreen capability and psp games.

I know the phone is brand new but still...
There has to be a way..

Im really looking forward to buying it
and it would be amazing if it had these capabilities

Also has anyone ever played the unreal tournament series of pc games.
I've always enjoyed playing these on the pc
Is there a way to get one of these on the n900 aswell?

Here lies proof why you should at least research a little before posting.

Where do I start? AFAIK, there is no PSP emulator for the PC, so that puts the kibosh on that. DS would be slightly more feasable, but the N900s architecture sure doesn't help. Someone else? I'm bored now...

Actually the N900 architecture helps, because it is ARM based, meaning less CPU emulation required. There is a DS emu for the tablets, its very very slow obviously. Someone will make it once the phone comes out...

It's probably worth checking the OpenPandora forum (openpandora.org) for info/news about emulators on the Linux/OMAP3 platform. If there's one available for the OpenPandora, there will be one for the N900. The converse also holds: If the pandora devs have trouble getting an emulator working, people will (likely) run into the same problems getting it running on the N900.

And for future reference: Unless you've actually written an emulator for that platform already, it's next to impossible to say whether x has enough power to emulate y. Also for reference, the rule-of-thumb figure thrown around for perfect emulation is that the host must be 12x more powerful than the system it's emulating.

Re: unreal tournament: Can't port without source, so ask the publisher of UT to let you have the source, then hire a programmer to do the port for you.

To run these games if THESE GAMES ARE ported to run native n900.

N900 not have the power necessary to emule a nintendo ds at a decent speed, and psp emulators are more of a farytale to a reality.

Here is a list of work-in-progress and working emulators for the Pandora platform. A PSP emulator is indeed in the works, tho I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

Oh whoopee Amiga emulator already running full speed on Pandora. Can't wait for that to be ported over to N900.

I doubt the CPU or GPU are anywhere near powerful enough to emulate a PSP though.

I tried playing Pinball Dreams/Fantasies on the iPod Touch but it just doesn't work without hardware keys. The N900 keyboard should work just fine, as long as there is a way to remap the left and right shift keys onto it.

What would be even better would be if someone released a N900 joypad dock turning the N900 into a mini Pandora. Or perhaps support for the Wii controller as I could easily carry that around in a pocket, with the stand on the N900 it might work on the train with those little tables in the back of the seats.

I quite fancy a Pandora but I know I wouldn't use it that much. The N900 on the other hand I know I will use all the time so it would be a perfect fit.

Alex Atkin UK - I could kiss you for that info (don't worry - I won't).
UAE running full speed on N900 is a dream come true.
I'm gonna tingle all over the first time I play Mill 2.2 or Deuteros on the N900 )

I get about 18-30 fps on the gp2x amiga emulator runing on N810.

Alex Atkin UK, would you be a customer for a n900 gaming controller shell?
