I had one, couldn't get the bubbles out to my satisfaction. So, I ditched it (the protector, not the n810). As well, it you're not 100% dust free when you put it on, there could be bubble issues with tiny specks...

This is my second n810 (the first I had to hand back when I moved jobs) and after a year on both, with a little care, I see no scratches , but I do have to de-fingerprint often (not that this was different with the protector).

YMMV, most people like them and use them, but I'm much happier without (subjective: readability up, sensitivity up)

how to put screen protectors on the screen, without dust and without bubbles:

1. take a hot shower in your bathroom with closed windows. (removes dust from the air)
2. clean your device with 100% alcohol.
3. put a little bit 100% alcohol on the screen.
4. put the protector on the screen.
5. move it on the screen around to the right position.
6. squeeze the bubbles and the remaining alcohol out of under the screen-protector.
7. ready.

I've done this so many times, and it's really easy...

*sigh*

Sachin, Sachin, Sachin.. how many times has this topic come up? :P

The original protector is for shipping only and not designed to perform as a typical usage-type protector.

Ay yi yi I wish we could put this one to bed...

Whats if you are living in a desert?

Here is how I do it:
1- I mix water + dish soap + alcohol all together
2- I wish my hands with it + part of the screen
3- I clean the screen with soft tissue and microfiber
4- put your protector slowly and with a small plastic card keep taking the bubbles out (Hint, if there a soap is remaining this will get the bubbles faster *you can spray some of it*)
5- You are done at this point , but I use hairdryer at this point
6- Now I am done :P

Don't worry - I also did this because I couldn't be bothered ordering a real screen protector for 6 months. Eventually the scratches on the shipping protector got too bad (just using the stylus would scratch it), so i bought the boxwave one. I'm pretty rough with my devices - I never keep it in its case on a day to day basis and its always rattling around in my pocket (although i do make sure that no coins or keys are in that pocket)

I have a matte finish screen protector, and rarely have to clean off fingerprints.

I'm not really trying to make fun of you or anything.... but if you were using that screen protector this entire time... imagine how many of your opinions and thoughts about the tablets might have changed.
