Hi

I am looking for a way to get my mail on the tablet for free

Does anybody have idea how to do this?

Does Yahoo Mail support POP or IMAP?

Only in the premium (paid-for) version AFAIK. Google Mail provides free email with POP and IMAP (and useful extras like calendar and documents too).

i too had to say goodbye to yahoo for that reason, but they're a pain anyway.

The mobile version of yahoo mail works great on the N800 or N810.
