If you compare the G1 and N900 side by side you notice what cheap quality the G1 really is. It looks and feels like **** next to the N900.
yes. i would imagine so.
in thier new version, it is much more "pretty" and they got rid of the tactile KB, which i believe, was a mistake. but nokia's high end units are always sharp for the time that they are released, i have no doubt that this will not be any negative exception!
how about those scratches! lol...on the box of the ....
What I think he means is that a mobile phone is a portable mass-market consumer device that you would reasonably expect to see a lot of harsh environments.
Well, yes, but a device isn't magic. It has its vulnerabilities.
Speaking of which, Nokia sells phones which are meant to be used in harsh environments. Such as in construction working.

I have the n900 since the summit, since then I have been really careful with it, I have had it in my pocket on occasion, but not with keys or sharp objects, or sand for that matter
Today when I was cleaning my screen I noticed tiny tiny scratches in the screen, you have to look really hard and they're almost invisible, but they are there, and they are not going away. (I think they have been caused either by my nails or by the stylus)
There for, since I have been careful with it (and leaving it mostly at home too), I'm thinking of investing in a screen protector to prevent any further damage.
If you don't care about tiny almost invisible scratches in your device then yea, don't bother, but otherwise its not a crazy idea to buy a screen protector.
Does a screen protector impair the performance of the touch screen? and by how much?
If so is it worth the tradeoff? Meaning can scratches impair the performance other than just looking bad?
