Is the rumoured $50 all you can eat T-Mobile plan does materialize, then definitely switching to T-Mob from AT&T - and will activate the N900 on T-Mob.

Otherwise, wait and see once we get a N900 in hand.

Neither T-Mobile nor AT&T offers a contract suitable to my needs. 300 minutes is a fine 12 year supply for me, not a quantity I can use monthly, and I'm not about to pay an effective rate of $20/minute.

Both offer $100/year PAYGO options, which while still steep, are worth considering. However, T-Mobile provides no option for data service on non-Sidekick PAYGO, and AT&T demands $10/MB.

For now, I'm trying to get DUN client working.

I was on Voicestream then TMO for 7 years. I had 5000 mins for $49.95/mo. I went ATT and haven't looked back. TMO is fine as long as you aren't interested in making and receiving phone calls or data! Won't be going back to them anytime soon. It's a damn shame that they "appear" to have convinced Nokia to not include the ATT radio for 3G data. I'll put up with slower data till the next ver. comes out, but I can't go back to TMO. I've been in major cities and can't receive and make calls?? Their maps look bad, and in my experience the maps were lies, so there you go. My dos centavos from 7 years with them, for whatever that's worth..

AT&T for now. Their coverage is good here in Boston + I have a years worth of contract left.

Im going t-Mobile, I have been with them for 5 years and have been pretty happy with their service, they have great coverage in every metro area i have been, great 3g in the Boston area & the best customer service when compaired against At&T and verizon. And at (currenlty) ~75$ for unlimeted voice, text, and data... it is a great deal.

AT&T. I have to drive about an hour to get any Tmo coverage, multiple hours for 3G. Doesn't matter much anyway, since AT&T has no 3G in my area (even if the correct frequencies were supported).

I've already solved the EDGE only problem with a vzw data card + cradlepoint cellular router (routes cell data service over 802.11) in the trunk of my car. Verizon has great EVDO coverage in my area and I'm usually within a few hundred feet of my car, so it beats being limited to EDGE (as I already am with my AT&T/HTC Touch Pro).

...So who gets stuck counting the results of this pseudo-poll?

T-mobile for me. I'm also in the Boston area and the coverage is great. Even just got a new tower in my neighborhood so the previously marginal reception in the house (stone walls) is now full bars. The coverage map show that T-mo 3G is probably available in my favorite shore vacation spot, as well; there is certainly good voice/EDGE coverage.

I haven't preordered yet.
That's right who can beat my $5 unlimited data plan . Sticking with T-mobile for a while unless of course they try to change my data plan rate.

Going to place it on my AT&T plan for now and use hotpots for my data needs because my area doesn't have 3G (Yes I live in a black hole).
