    Hey,
A while back I remember being able to somehow access the iPhone version of google from any mobile device using a specific URL.

I cant remember how to do this and was wondering if anyone else has any ideas? Its MUCH better than the standard mobile version and it a lot quick than the full desktop version on say, an N810 for example.

Im on about the version like this, with the Gmail, Reader, Calendar etc links at the top.

    Any ideas?

    Scratch that.

I think you'll need to change your user agent.

Sorry, I was a little hasty with my first post.

If you go to the link that joshua.maverick posted, you will see some links to put into your browser. They start
    Code:
    about:
    .

These will make web sites think that you are using an iPhone.

    Hi,

i installed the "Tear" browser. In menue go to tools -> options.
For option "user_agent" edit the value to:

    Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/1A543 Safari/419.3

For crying out loud, don't tell people to change their user agent to the iPhone's. Their propaganda is bad enough even without our help

Right - but it sucks that a lot of websites have special "small screen" pages that are for iphone only. I also want to access these "optimized" pages.

More people faking their user agent means more iPhone-specific websites in the future.

Search for greasemonkey or grease monkey on this forum. It works with microb.
