As separate communities that would hopefully self-organize? People who don't speak English won't take part in this forum in any case.

I don't see what would be the reason to try to control things centrally, isn't that kind of against the whole idea of this community?

If I remember correctly, Nokia released special version of N73 that was aimed for muslim pilgrims (Hajj?) . It had Quran and other muslim related software.

Not a case of wanting to control centrally, but more of making sure knowledge is disseminated efficiently between different language groups.

To be honest it's probably not a major problem for the users of the main English forum, but for users of the localised forums it will need people to do translation of docs/HowTos, etc.

Perhaps not a big problem, just thinking it through.

Of course translating what is already here is a good way to create content quickly to get things going, but the new language community would hopefully start breathing on its own after an initial effort. Cross-language communication would be nice, and more imporantly, the feed should be two-way (and I would be more worried about getting the feed to flow back from the localised forums to the English forum than the other way).
