Nokia just filed a resistive multi-touch patent APPLICATION.
It pays to be precise.
the "application" part is implied since a company/person *FILES* for a patent (aka submits a patent application), and the uspto *GRANTS* a patent if they approve the application.
I showed my N900 to an iPhone-using friend and he immediately liked the N900's resistive touch screen and said that the iPhone's screen was worse, sometimes being too overresponsive, sometimes not responding at all. And that he could use a stylus on the N900 was a big plus for him, too.
