I havent even pre0orderers but of course I am itching to get the N900 like all the rest.

But since the waiting period began after the N900 announcement, the Droid and the HD2 were announced much later and also are about to go on sale before the N900.

I understand bringing a phone to market has lots of issues - but this a big manufacturer should have its game to the level - where they can announce and bring to market faster without the huge gaps in between.

In todays cut-throat world of PR and media blitz and coverage and rapid customer churn, the old model of announcing and releasing much later doesn't work any more. The whole cycle of announce and release should have worked out the factors of beta testing and bug-fixing etc in that time period itself. But I guess this is where large companies suffer most - its inability to change its operational models quicky to adapt to changing markets.

Blast my Auntie! She keeps ringing me up and asking me to order her Christmas Presents from Amazon. I have a heart attack every time I get an email saying something has dispatched - only to find it's one of her dvd box sets or books!

I heard when they put the N900 release date as 2010, that all their servers went down with the traffic hit....

Nah it was a DoS attack organised by rabid pre-order victims. That or iphonetas.

the stores was unaffected, i could access every single other page on all parts of the sites
