I am really looking for a new mobile (this or the droid if it comes to DK...)

But it seems like the screen gets VERY smudgy from sticky fingers and its overall just nothing like looking at the screen of lets say the HTC hero. The screen should also be VERY easily scratched(my-symbian preview):

"The only thing that worries me when it comes to N900 display is its resistence to scratches and other damages. And it seems to be lower than expected. I got the device without any protective case and the display got some awful scratches in just one day, and that's only because some sand grains got into the pocket I kept it in. Maybe it is just a coincidence and the same would happen to any other device, but a good screen protector or soft carrying case are recommended, just in case. OK, now..."

And last but not least... its resistive technology... I dont use styles nor gloves so its only a bad thing XD

Ok, someone from Nokia will make a note of your objections and get back to you. For now a possible solution that you can try is...

Well, the N900 is not for everyone. I personally prefer the accuracy that resistive screens allow. I live in an area where the winters are quite cold and I am very happy that I can use the device with a stylus. Sure, there screen will get a bit scratched over time if you don't use a protective sheet over it, but these are not visible when the screen is On, only when the device is turned off. Some users have reported success in removing scratches using a bit of polishing paste. I have used resistive screens for years. I am not worried about that.

As someone who's used the N900 quite extensively and yet to put a single scratch anywhere on the device, I will say again that his experience is not normal.

If you look carefully, the N900 is indeed quite scratched

I already had an iphone and now I’m using a Nokia 5800 and I definitely prefer resistitive technology.
N900 will be my future phone.

Camera flashes tend to bring out things like that. In person you probably wouldn't even notice.

I used to use protective sheets over my devices. I decided to forgo that on the last Palm TX I had (with a resistive screen). The TX was junk due to other reasons and finally died after about 1.5 years. I just pulled it out to check. The screen has a few spots, probably removable with a little scrubbing, but it is fine, definitely not a problem. If the screen on the N900 is anything like this one, I will be fine with it.
