Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, and just want to first say hi and secondly thank all of the contributers to this forum and making it such a useful database for N900 info. I'm pretty excited to get my hands on this phone but have a question regarding call functions.

Does the N900 support conference calling? It's not terribly important but it'd be a nice function to have, especially as I start being on the road more.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

The specification on this page show it does support that feature.

I think N900 only supports conference calling upto 3 people (including yourself) currently, but I really believe that 3 is definitely not enough, especially for business use. Is it possible to extend it to support more people?

If you're trying to conference in that many people, you really should be using a service (we use Cisco's MeetMe)... a business man like yourself can afford it

Are the number of seats in a conference call ultimately limited by the phone or the network?

geeez 15 people at a time. I would definitely go with the Cisco's MeetMe rather than solely depend on the phone as TwoBoxen said. all I care about: its most of 5 and usually its just 3(but not including me, So would be 4 I guess?)

If you use Skype, someone else can host the conference and add your phone. I can verify that this kind of conference call (hosted by another party) works fine on the N900, and can have more participants.
