HI!
Interesting thread IMO. I've applied the softpoweroff trick for a while but I've noticed that when I (long)press the power on/off button, the screen switch off (no problem!) but then immediately switch on for less than 1 sec. to re-switch off by itself :-/ Anyone having noticed the same?
TIA.

Updated issue, well, got myself into another problem again.
Sometime, when I wake the unit up from the "softpoweroff", the system doesn't recognize any of the buttons on the left, which mean I can't get back into the system, and I cannot turn it off again. And if I remove the battery, it will corrupt the /home directory. What's the your workaround?
