I just started to see this today and was wondering if anyone else has seen this? And is a sign of bad things to come?

When I am in the RSS reader, the blue/purple links on the right side seem to look blotchy. In some areas the text is almost white and in others it is a very dark colour. Moving the feed text around causes the links to change colour like the pigment is messed up and not uniform.

After clicking on a link it turns red and this is solid.

I have not noticed this in any other app or the home page. Photos look fine also. It seems to be a problem with this one specific colour used in the unread link text.

I took a screen shot of the RSS reader and viewing the image on the tablet also shows the same problem but it is a solid colour on my PC.

anyone seen anything like this before?

Exactly the same here...
It happened for a few days but now it's ok.
I can't remember when it disappeared, but maybe after I changed my theme.
Strange, really.

My N800 was made in Finland, if that matters.

It is strange!

I fixed mine it seems! I did 2 things.. (I know - one at a time is better lol)
I removed my screen protector and turned it off for 30 minutes. When I powered it back on the unvisited link colour is a nice solid blue.

I wonder if my screen protector was doing something to the blue pigment in there or if the tablet was just powered on for too long. I don't know how the screen works so no idea what may have caused this!

There was a thread earlier describing how a screen protector had affected one person's screen functionality. I think it was Karel.

.. there is no "pigment" its just lcd pixels.. however lcd as all monitors is still suceptable to static fields.. could be your system had built one up or the screen protector had.

it does sound like static on the plastic screen protector might be the culprit. That thing attracted dust like no-ones business as I was trying to install it!

Now I need to decide if I want to put it back on or leave it off and hope I never get a scratch!...

btw - nice blog schmots! I am learning a lot from it already

It didn't do anything to the screen colours though. My D-pad stopped working, that was all.

It's better now...
