Great news I contacted Nokia yesterday and asked when we should receive out units (UK) they said within the next 2 weeks 100% All preorders from the web store will be fulfilled within a week. Demand They need to move release date back to cope with the strain they would rather get as many out there in one go. They said all preorders would be fulfilled first and people that order through the nokia store would get them earlier than other web stores i.e. Mobilephonesdirect / expansys.

That's not a retail unit.
1. You can see the screen has fingerprint marks from the light reflection (surely that's not unboxing!)
2. There are no plastic cover to protect the screen (surely that's not unboxing!)
3. He did not show the rest of what's in the box as proof it is a retail unit, retail units will have a manual in them.

This unboxing video is excellent.
You can see official letter from Nokia regarding the return of the 'demo' unit in the box.
You can see the N900 rejects the 3 simcard here.
You can see how the device is turned on for the first time.
You can see that BBC iPlayer does not work.

The guy is just great! Really like his comments all the way through the video!

in a question posed at the comments he explains the fingerprints were present because it was take 4 he was doing. i asked already where he got it since he says its retail but i doubt he is to be qualified as a 'civilian'customer.

Ask him to show us the physical manual and you'll get the definite proof if it's retail or not
