I just bought an SD card for my N810 to clear up space on the internal drive. I moved the MyDocs directory to the SD card and put a symlink in its place that points to the new location. I thought the Mail application would have its local mail store somewhere inside that directory, but I can't find it there, or anywhere. Does anyone know where the mail application stores mail locally? And what method it uses (Maildir, database?). If it matters, I have it set up as an IMAP connection to my GMail account.

Also, now that I've got most of my stuff on the external card, how much virtual memory do people recommend that I extend onto the internal memory card?

afaik most enable 128mbs for virtual memory. works for me. are you concerned about running out of space for email storage in the internal memory? i've been using imap and gmail for a year and it hasn't been an issue.

Whenever I started modest, it would show emails from 2006 or 2008 at the top where it should be showing the most recent emails. I thought it might be having problems storing all my emails. It would just sit there for a while showing old emails and being completely unresponsive for a while. Anyway, I found the mail store et /home/user/.modest and moved it to the external card and left a symlink in its place. Has anyone else had problems like this?

I think it's kind of strange that I'm the only one having the problem of old emails appearing first and the entire application being unresponsive for minutes. Anyone have any ideas on things I could try?
