Definitely sounds like an empty battery. Charge it for a few hours before first use (read the little leaflet that came with the device too.. it's useful, trust me..)

if you've installed a broken app (eg. busybox) then you can get into a situation where you just see the nokia logo. When this happens you need to reflash to remove the app and then (temporarily) enable rd mode to clear the bootup error.
This is my first post
l would like to if any you guys have booting up your n800 because just does not boot up and the nokia sign comes up for 3 sec and than it goes blank
can any help me please
