I have enjoyed my device (N800) just few weeks and now it's broken on
power on. Which means:
- switch on device shows Nokia logo on white background and screen
goes black/off few moments later - boot does not continue
- connecting charger gives same effect, however repeately
- what works is USB mode for flashing - I am able successfuly
upgrade/replace firmware of device - however it does not fix the
problem

I have tried to replace the battery for fully charged one.
Also I have tried to remove memory cards.

I wonder what is startup process of N800 to find out where is the problem.

Only official user firmware was used and reboots/switch-off-on worked
fine for quite long period after upgrade/flashing.

Unfortunately I am based in Czech Republic and device was purchased in
US (NYC). Is there some global warranty to use local service or at
least to send device only to nearest country in Europe where N800 is
sold.

It's shame to have active developer community in Czech Rep., Hungary,
Poland and not to sell and service the device in our countries. ;-(

Thanks for any hint
Martin

It's not related to
http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ead.php?t=5054

a/ my device hangs before blue line starts
b/ reflashing does not fix the problem

Wow, I just wished I'd looked around as you did before sending back my device for repair. The repair shop still has it after a few weeks, and it was the exact same problem..
