You're exactly right. I'm planning to keep it anyway.

According to this thread, Dell now has the N900 @ $519 PLUS sales tax, with a possible 20-day shipping delay.

N900 is £440.75 on LambdaTek (I highly recommend them, bought a monitor and graphics card from there and fantastic service each time) and £469.99 on Play.

Does anybody know how much a N900 cost for an independent retailer which buys them from Nokia to resell in a shop?
Just to know how low they can sell the N900 staying positive...

That price would be taxes free right? Which taxes should then be added in % (lets say for UK)?

It's not showing up on Dell at all (that I can see anyways). Has anyone been able to get a firm "it will be here" date out of the flagship stores? I'm going to be in NY this weekend, and hoping it'll be there by then.

Amazon says it is offering the N900 with a $50 rebate (I hate those). So the price comes to $509.99.

That rebate is through Nokia, not Amazon. So subtract $50 from all retailers.
