I preordered N900 @ Amazon USA yesterday night.

Today morning when i checked the order status, the expected delivery date was after December 25th.

I was pi**ed off and cancelled the order.

Bad luck i have to leave USA by 18th December.

Why is it even giving you such an estimate?

On my order, it says:

Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date. You can cancel at any time.

Screenivas, I'm in the same situation as you. Actually, I can say I'm in a worst situation because I leave one day earlier than you. Also, my my only media player, which is my ipod would be taken by my Mother on the second of December. And my flight would be a 16 hour flight too. Talk about bad luck eh?

Anyway, I preorder at Newegg at the beginning of this month. So, I hope that I can get it on time.

To avoid risk i purchased 2 day shipping.

This morning they added a tentative delivery date to my order.

May be i ordered now and that is the reason for late delivery.

Wish its not the same with others.

New egg has this tax for ppl in CA but who knows that might turn out to be the only option.
