N900 does not have line in or line out. Why not use a netbook running Linux for that instead?

About SunVox: the UI for iPhone looks like a quick hack...

The N900 does have an 3,5-mm-stereo audio-jack.
It is no problem to connect it to an amplifier..
And i would like to have a Sequencer link Sunvox on a N900 instead on a netboox becauce ha allways have my phone with me..

I think the Sunvox should have a chance..The sunvox gui on the n900 should be much better than the iphone version because the n900 has a much bigger screen resolution..
the Tracks made with it sound very promising..

SunVox for n900 is not the problem.
Just help me with buying this device, and i'll port this app to Maemo.
Alex (SunVox developer).

Renoise on n900:

Don't jump of your seats because it's just a mockup I made
to see for myself how the scale would be with a pixel perfect resize

I jumped on my seat, AND spilled my drink. Thanks. I'm now seriously looking into QT4 code, in order to make a Maemo version of QTractor. Oh wait, is there a way to run JACK (mandatory nowadays to do serious audio under Linux) on the n900 ? I everybody, Philippe, I'm new here. Thinking out loud w/o even reading the rest of the forum, don't mind me

hello.

I know the purpose of this thread is aimed at gathering suggestions, but if I had to make a suggestion by comparison, I'd suggest something similar to Bhajis Loops.

screenshots
http://www.chocopoolp.com/bj_index.php <-- Bhajis Loops and Microbe d/l & documentation.

http://www.bhajis-garden.org/ <--Bahjis-Garden = Bhajis Loop Community.

Bhajis Loops and Microbe are pretty useful audio sequencing programs for the Palm, emulated for the N8x0 series by Garnet VM 1.0.4b

It runs full screen, but in order to get the screenshot, I needed to adjust.

a few problems:

Can only save files to "Internal memory" in GVM (I can't seem to figure out how to save to SD card)

Cannot hotsync via USB with win x64, which makes it impossible for me to use the Conduit to render song to PC.

any thoughts?

I'll get to the good suggestions tomorrow...

edit: just found the answer

i asked a similar question of the developer Dave Plater, and got this response:

Sounds like an interesting concept, rosegarden on a mobile phone. I'm
not sure what basic operating system it uses but reading the first lines
of the wiki article, if it has gcc4 and there is a way of getting the
sources into a build directory, it might very well build and work. Maemo
needs to support jack libqt4 >= 4.4.0 alsa ladspa dssi libxml2
fftw3libsamplerate libsndfile and liblo and you need the devel packages
installed before building. I will research a bit more come back to you.
I think it's at least feasable.
Regards
Dave P
