just received two brand new n800's...one for my Wife, and one Myself.
we've had two 770's since they were released, and loved them....but the new n800's are really fantastic, and are only going to get better.
but..... I have one glitch in my unit...it refuses to recognize the internal 128MB card supplied by Nokia, saying "No Internal Card Inserted". I switched to another brand new 128MB card I had on hand....same story, I then re-flashed the software no go...
has anyone had this same problem, if so, is there a fix?
I'm hoping i don't have to return the unit for an exchange....i hate to part with it.
any help from you guy's would be much appreciated....thank's

1. Have you replaced the battery door cover - it contains a magnetic sensor and the door needs to be in place before the card will be mounted by the device
2. Does the same 128Mb card work in your wifes device but fail to work in your device?

If you have done 1, and the answer to 2 is yes, then my guess is your device is faulty and should be exchanged.

Something similar happened to me - my internal card was not recognised at all, couldn't do anything with it. It was a random 2gig card I had lying around. I swapped it into the removable slot, where I could format it, and now it is working happily internally. Go figure.
