Does anyone else have problems setting up a bluetooth keyboard ?

My Thinkoutside Stowaway works nicely with the N810 but with the N900 I can pair it but then the N900 can't connect to it: "Connection failed".

You are aware that it is not officially supported and you have followed the steps at http://wiki.maemo.org/Fremantle_Unsu...tooth_profiles ?

No, I actually wasn't aware. Did not find that while searching.

    My /etc/bluetooth/main.conf looked like this:

    # List of plugins that should not be loaded on bluetoothd startup
    #DisablePlugins = network,input,hal

which means for me that there are no disabled plugins.
However just for testing I added:

    DisablePlugins =

    and now IT WORKS!!

    So thanks!

Which reminds me... Is there anyone with an Apple Wireless keyboard that has it working with the N900 ? I can connect it all right with the BT hack, but it just sits there after that, no input

I've been wondering if the keyboard will sync with my ps3

I might marry it if it does lol

Update: the non-letter keys of my keyboard are not working, including the numbers.
I did more research, there are a couple of bugs opened for this issue but they are "solved" WONTFIX for the reason bluetooth is not important in Fremantle

I would conclude that he is still using the keyboard he referred to in his initial post

does anybody know if the non-letter keys not working problem is particular to the stowaway or whether it occurs with other bluetooth keyboards? if so which work and which do not? and how easy will this be for the community (or me) to fix without nokia support.
this can be a show stopper for me. i use my n810 exclusively with a variety of bluetooth keyboards as pocketable laptop. i have an n900 on order but will cancel if i cannot use it as a pocketable laptop with a bluetooth keyboard.

    See: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3042

It's a big disappointment for me too.

You would have thought that everything that worked on the previous generation tablets will still work on N900, right ?
