No. I have an order in with Nokia.co.uk. For complicated reasons (it wasn't impatience) I switched in a couple of weeks ago. So potentially I could Get The Email early this week, depending where I am in the queue. If it's all for real.

Thing is there can't be *that* many orders to prevent them shipping them all out on the same day - that is unless the shipping department is a single room with one student in it...

The thing is I know I'm not getting my device this week as I've ordered with MPD and I'm damn sure they won't deliver until at least the end of November. But at the same time I'm really rooting for you guys who've ordered directly from Nokia, partly because it does at least show that the N900 has hit our shores...and partly out of some weird national pride that the UK shouldn't be so far behind the rest of the world in getting the latest gadgets.

I admire your community spirit, but Im more selfish, I want other people to start to get their confirmation emails, so I then know it is actually real and available. Then I can then shop around and hopefully get it somewhere else and get the pleasure of telling MPD to take a long running jump

I got this email from MPD:

Dear Mr *************

Order No. ******

Thank you for your order.

To move your existing mobile number ************* to the Vodafone network from your existing network well require a PAC code. If you dont have a PAC code its easy to obtain one by calling your existing network. For information on how to do this, please see keeping your number on our website ( http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/...eepNumber.aspx ) which includes a list of network telephone numbers.

Alternatively we can connect your new phone with a brand new Vodafone number and dispatch the handset immediately.

Please email your PAC code or a request for a new Vodafone number to webshop@mobilephonesdirect.co.uk remembering to quote your order number.

Thank You
