Since it seems that Nokia UK haven't got them yet, I doubt those of us with orders at MPD will be getting them anytime soon...what a huge cock-up this has been on Nokia's part

Yeah, same problem. Just hoping someone will give a glimmer of hope by saying their has changed from Pending Stock or something.
As for the time taken for the credit check, I have no idea, but it was extremely quick for me - apparently if your status is already on Pending Stock, that means the credit check is done

Yes, I believe that's true, don't they credit/debit your account with £2.00 or something like that to check...it shows up on my account history just after I ordered.

Someone told me that if you check your statement, they take out a couple of £s to check it and then replace the money. that way you know it's been done. (I checked mine and sure enough, that's what they did.) Mine I think was done very early on too.

I placed my order with MPD on the 6th October and on the 8th £2.00 was taken from my bank account and then returned on the 10th. My order is 'pending stock' and I was told the credit check had been successful
i need to stop checking this forum at least for a week as now i know it wont be shipped for another 10 days... but cant help it ! its addictive
Don't worry, you're not the only one....I keep hoping for some kind of miracle and seeing that 'pending stock' sign turn to something more positive. By the way, I am beginning to get sick of that bloody MPD Order Tracker page....just staring at that same info day in and day out...even if it does change suddenly I don't think I'll believe it until the device is actually in my hands.
