Love the n800, love internet streams, love canola.
But is there any way to run sirius internet radio over n800? I found a player for opera browser, but will not work with n800.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Very doubtful. Sirius and XM both stream in windows media format, so you'd need a special integerized ARM version. Not much hope for this as it's a propietary windows codec that Nokia would need to deal with Microsoft to get and then modify.

Is there any DRM on the Sirius / XM streams? If there isn't, I don't see why it couldn't be streamed through mplayer if we ever get a plug-in for opera.

There is a thread at the Siriusbackstage forum which mentions the TVersity Media Server (free) which will enable you to stream Sirius Internet music to devices such as the Sony PSP Xbox, and N800. That's how I found out about the N800. However, I never really had a need to try the software because the local Sirius repeater works so well where I live.

Maybe you can give it a try and let us know how it works!

Forgive my ignorence. So I should install TVersity on the n800; or the main computer where the wireless is based? Any idea how to install TVersity on the n800?

Thank you for the link though. Would be great to stream Sirius where no computer, or satellite radio is available.

Thanks again!

It works.
Install both programs as stated and keep them running on your computer.

On the N800 type "http://198.xxx.x.xx:41952/medialib/browse" in the web browser.
(198.xxx.x.xx is your computer's IP address)
Here, you can browse the Audio Urls that you added to TVersity aquired from uSirius.

Okay. Just a few questions.
So I installed TVersity and uSirius on my main computer - that is hooked up to the wireless router. I started both. I loaded the URL from uSirius onto TVersity. I click on the TVersity for 'sirius' and Sirius Hits 1 is playing in the windows media player.

First issue: I can't seem to change channels on uSirius. They do load, and I click on other channels and press 'okay' - but still plays only "hits 1", and won't give me any other URLs to try and load into TVersity.

Second issue: On my computer. All the IP addresses I can find start with 192 - I can't find any with "198.xxx.x.xx .. .. So I am not sure what to put in for the 'x's' above in the n800 web browser
okay - I did find a "192 address" on uSirius - and uSirius says:
"19:58:56 - Listening at 192.168.2.5 on port 19080."
I put "http://192.168.2.5:41952/medialib/browse" into the n800 URL space - it just returns - " . .. did not match any documents"

Forgive my noobness. I know it is probably just a few simple things to get everything to work. Seeing the uSirius load all the channels, and then not letting me change tham is probably the most frustrating.

Whatever help you can give would be great. Thank you thank you thank you
