Every time I open the Maemo mapper software, I get this "Failed to open or create database: file is encrypted or is not a database" error. After clicking ok on that error message, the program opens. However, it is very tedious having that error there. Not to mention that it could lead me to additional problems i am not aware of.

Can someone assist me with this?

Thanks,

If you are not using POI at all, then the solution is simple: just delete your POI file (as defined in the Settings dialog, POI tab) and restart Maemo Mapper.

If you _are_ using POI, then you need to convert your database to sqlite3 format. Search the forums on how to do this.
