I emailed them about asking if it was possible to change the contract I ordered, and had no response on two attempts, first a week ago.. so don't bank on them acting on emails!!
Okay basically word of mouth through Nokia. I know people who know people and its made Trust me the guys already have it in farnborough head office, I have been told feb/march its the same as the done with the n97 and the n97 mini.
I think that was some troll just trying to wind us up, ignore it!
On another note, why would most people want/need a 16Gb memory card? I understand that some people would easily use up the extra space. But for the majority, why isn't the existing 32Gb enough? I could maybe understand a bit more if the card was "hot-swappable" (I think that's the right term?!) but you have to turn off the phone, take of the cover, take out the battery just to insert/remove the memory card.
I'm not having a go, genuinely curious.
Oh and to make sure we stay on topic! Hopefully only one more week until MPD get there act together and send us our phones!! )
I am not a troll. i actually have inside information. that one has been built and is with engineers in farnborough. if you dont want to believe me thats fine. but im gonna wait for it and not wait my money on the brick.
I might revisit the device but after this fiasco I seriously doubt it.
Whilst alarmed at the rebooting issue and concerned over the mic issue, it is not all devices that are affected, there are plenty of people who seem to be OK
One is a software issue that will have the devs crawling all over it until they find a fix and the other is looking like hardware. It might mean that I could be unlucky and have to send it back, crossed finger that Im ok, but I have waited too long and there really isn't anything out there that is comparable...

I know I have been one of the first to actally slag MPD off- and with good reason to press- but why exactly are you cancelling now?
To be fair- they have now emailed everyone, laid the cards on the table, given you a date when they are expecting the devices in and a date when they expect to send them out to you (and therefore a rough date, depending on the delivery option you chose as to what day you should recieve it). The Nokia.co.uk customers are receiving theirs which have been sent out as planned this week, so you know it's on it's way, so you don't think it sounds to sense to wait and see if it at least turns up on the first date that they've mailed out?
Yes, I know- I'm pissed off with waiting- believe me I'm the most impatient person I know- but I don't get your logic. sorry.
